The North East Business Awards are one of the biggest award ceremonies in the UK, celebrating successful and innovative businesses across the region. The awards bring together successful businesses and showcase achievement, with 2,000 people attending over four awards dinners, across the region.
The great and good of the Tees Valley were out in force and there was a buzz of excitement and discussion as to who would win each category, from the shortlists drawn.
We were identified as a finalist by category award sponsors FW Capital. They recognised that we had demonstrated exceptional growth levels for our size and sector and had a solid business plan for the year ahead.
The competition was stiff and we were shortlisted against Stokesley Headquartered Quorn Foods and automotive retail solutions company MotorVise (Automotive) Ltd.
Unfortunately, on this occasion, we were not announced as winners and MotorVise pipped us to the post with their impressive results of doubling both their workforce and their turnover over two successive years.
CEO Tony Snaith said: “It was a strong category and we were up against market leaders Quorn Foods and MotorVise Automotive, we are extremely proud to have been shortlisted in the Teesside heat.
“The awards are well known within the region and to be recognised alongside such established businesses in the area even to be shortlisted is a great accolade for us. Growth has been a key focus point for the business and to achieve recognition in this category is testament to our success.”
Chairman Chris Oliver said: “From the outset, we have implemented an ambitious growth strategy which has seen the business exceed forecasts year on year. Our unique business model has meant that we have been able to roll our services out UK wide to achieve record sales and national growth. To be recognised as a growing organisation within Tees Valley is a great achievement for us.”
